This is my first blog site and my first post. I wrote a book and my publisher and some of my friends advised me to open a blog to encourage people to get to know me and then they may be motivated to buy my books. Well, fine. I don't mind people buying my books. They are cheap enough.

Okay, so my first book costs almost $AU20 hard copy and $AU2.99 for the electronic download, but I put so much into my first book. I started it when I was 28. That's 43 years ago! Sure, I didn't touch it for  most of the time between 1972 and 2011 but still, a lot of me went into it.

Any way, it's done and dusted and is out there in hard copy and as an ebook.

My second book is cheaper, at 99 cents. Any less and it would be free. Actually, my third manuscript IS free as an ebook! But then again, it is made up of a compilation of poems from the first two publications. I write poems in my manuscripts occasionally but I make sure they actually LOOK like poems so that people who don't like that kind of stuff can jump over them.

This is my first blog - or is it called a post? All this technology! I love it but the terminology takes a bit of getting used to.
